P2S Redux Devlog


Press To Struggle (P2S) has finally gotten another public update!
Here's the state of things at Zyyph Studios:


-Press To Struggle has been reformatted to include more context

  • Overwhelmingly the biggest critique I received on P2S was that people wanted to see more plot and interactions with the characters before and after the minigames. I felt this was a doable goal so I pushed the game to include more visual novel elements. Most of the time in this update was focused on creating characters, writing plots, and of course programming and assets to make the game work properly. 

-Next Steps for P2S

  • The game needs a stability patch! So that'll be the next release for the public. I hope to get that done as soon as possible so you all can enjoy all the content in the game; which is currently not possible since several scene selection functions are not working. We did test scene selection in an earlier version and it was surprising to see it malfunction like this. Thanks to all of you for letting me know.  Should be fixed soon! 
  • Press To Struggle has been in need of some new minigames and general reworks for the better part of this year. We now have a project roadmap and so far the first phase has been completed on schedule. The next phase will focus on building on the foundation, giving characters more interactions and more depth while expanding on mechanics and including new topics that have been repeatedly requested. As always, experimental builds and updates will be available first on my Patreon, but relatively stable releases will find their way to the public eventually. 

-Other Projects

  • P2S is going to continue getting new content, but I've decided to cut down on other income streams to focus on the production of a second project. Rapturous was a visual novel that never reached completion despite being nearly done, due to very critical problems with how the game handled its combat system and inventory. I took a 2 year break to learn unity fundamentals and make a new version of the game entirely from scratch, only to realize that the game could be much more interesting if it was reimagined. 
  • Rapturous Rogue is a small scope rogue-lite, which features an adapted version of the original game's card mechanics. If you're a fan of more strategy oriented games and my previous work, you may enjoy it! We have a gameplay demo up for supporters right now, but a later version will be brought to the public later on.

Ooh! Excited for RaptRogue! Didn't get very far in the old version, but I very much enjoyed what I played.

You're very good at writing comfy scenes/characters. More of that would be a perfect fit for this little project! Best of luck!
