January 2022 Update, The Combat Demo


Hello again, all.  I hope you'll enjoy this demo for the card-based combat that I've been working on for Rapturous.

    My programming background is in computational physics so I don't know very much about games, but I spent endless hours learning to make buttons and logic in unity to put this out. As a result of the heavier programming load this month has had fewer assets implemented (though a lot has been drawn to be implemented soon.) This update is just a combat tutorial and an endless enemy spawner, so you can see the basics of the card system that I've been working on. 

This release is from the 12th of this month, so there are a few known bugs:
-It's possible to click two cards quickly to overwrite the played card, this causes the player to have negative energy (fixed in upcoming patreon build)

-Breathe, the ability to play more cards on your turn, does not consume discard energy. (Also fixed in next update)

I hope to keep developing this system and adding new abilities and dynamics. I'm happy to hear any critique and ideas for improvement to make it more fun! Thanks for playing.
